The calls you miss are the jobs you lose
Vandial answers your phone around the clock, works out what the caller needs, and books the job into your calendar — not a voicemail with better manners.

This is what your callers hear
The same receptionist your shop gets, answering as the trades we already run. Pick yours and press play.
Answered, understood, booked
One phone number, picked up on the second ring — at 2am, on a Sunday, while you're under someone's sink. By the time the caller hangs up, the job is in your calendar.
It answers
Two rings, every time. No hold music, no voicemail, no “our office is currently closed”.

It books
A real slot in your real calendar, and a text to the caller before they have put the phone down.

Not an answering service
An answering service takes a message and charges you for it. Vandial knows your prices, your patch and your diary — so it books the job, or puts a real emergency straight through to you.
It picks up at 2am, and while you're already on the phone
Your hours are when you work, not when you can answer. Vandial covers the other 128 hours in the week — and the ones where your line is busy, which is where most of them actually go.
It knows your prices, your patch and your hours
Tell it your call-out fee, how far you travel, which boilers you work on, what you charge after midnight. It answers the questions a message-taker has to say “I'll get someone to call you back” to.

A real emergency reaches you, not a voicemail
You decide what counts — a gas smell, a flood, no heat in January — and who it goes to. Everything else waits until morning, written up and ready.
Your rule: if they say gas, flood or no heat — ring Sam, then me.
Every call written up, tagged and searchable
A summary, the full transcript and the recording. When a customer says they rang on Tuesday and were quoted something different, you can go and check.

Water heater, leaking
Leaking from the base. Booked for Tuesday 1–2pm. Side gate open, dog in the yard. Asked whether the service call fee applies — told $99, waived on repair.

What it will never do
You are handing your phone to something that talks to customers when you are not there. These are the lines it does not cross, and the words it uses instead.
It never invents an answer
If a price or a slot did not come from your own data, it will not say it. It takes a message instead of guessing — the answer that loses a customer is a confident wrong one.
What it actually says
“I don't want to quote you a wrong number — let me get Dave to call you back with the price today.”
Emergencies skip the script
Gas, smoke, sewage indoors, downed power lines. It tells the caller to ring the utility or emergency services first, then alerts you. It will not book, price or diagnose those calls.
What it actually says
“If you can smell gas, please hang up and ring the emergency gas line now. I'm alerting Dave as well.”
Nobody is ever sent to voicemail
If you cannot be reached it takes the details, commits to a callback window and flags the job. A voicemail box is where jobs go to die.
What it actually says
“Dave's on a job right now. I've got your details — he'll call you back before six this evening.”
The job lands where you already work
Google, Outlook, Apple, Exchange, CalDAV — whichever calendar you already keep. Then your payments, your CRM, and whatever you automate with.
Frequently asked questions
These are some of our most frequently asked questions.
Does it book into my existing calendar?
Yes. Vandial connects to Google Calendar, Outlook and Office 365, Apple Calendar, Exchange and any CalDAV calendar, and writes the job into the calendar you already use. It reads your busy time too, so it will not offer an hour you are already committed to.
What happens with robocalls and sales calls?
They are identified and zero-rated. Spam never counts toward your included customers and never creates a customer record, so you are not billed for calls you did not want.
Can it answer questions about my prices?
It answers from what you give it. Upload a price list or a set of policies and it will quote from them. Ask it something you never told it, and it takes a message rather than inventing a number.
What if the caller wants a person?
It transfers. Vandial tries you, then a second number, then whoever is on call, announcing who is calling and why before it connects. If nobody picks up it takes the details and promises a callback window rather than dropping the caller into voicemail.
How soon is it answering, and when do texts start?
The receptionist answers, quotes and books from the day your number goes live. Texting is the one part that waits: US carriers register every business that sends texts, one at a time, and take 10 to 15 days. We file yours at the start and confirm the day it clears, which is why setup is a two-week window with someone on it rather than a signup form.
Do I have to change how I work?
No. You can run the whole thing by text message. Reply to a notification to move a job, block a morning, or clear a rained-off day and have every affected customer told automatically.
Is this only for plumbers and HVAC?
No. The agent's goal, questions, call types and guardrails are all configuration, so the same product answers for a clinic, a law firm, a salon or a property manager. Nothing about the trade is hard-coded.
What does it cost?
There are three paid rungs — Starter, Professional and Business — and the only thing that changes between them is how many unique customers you answer for in a month. Call flows, team members, transfer destinations and full call history are unlimited on every one of them. There is also a free account, which has no phone number. See the plans at the bottom of this page.
It already knows your trade's worst call
The questions it asks, when it treats a call as urgent, and the lines it will not cross are different for a plumber and a law firm. Pick yours and hear the call it runs.
