Their pricing page is a form asking for your phone number
AnswerConnect is one of the largest names in the traditional answering-service market, with 24/7 human cover and a genuinely long track record. It also does not publish what it charges: the page labelled "view pricing" asks for your name, company email and phone before it will show you anything.
Every competitor figure on this page was read from their own pricing page on 2026-09-05

AnswerConnect's cells are not estimates. They are what their own pricing page shows a visitor on 14 August 2026, which is a form.

|---|---|---|---|
| Vandial | Per unique customer | $99/mo, unlimited call flows | None. The plan caps talk time, not calls |

Why a gated price is a pricing decision, not an accident
Gating a price behind a form is common in this market and it is worth naming for what it is: a decision that the number should depend on what you look like you can pay, and a decision that the shopping process should include a sales call.
For a small business the practical cost is real. Comparing four vendors becomes four sales calls and four follow-up sequences before you have a single figure to put in a spreadsheet, and by then you have given four companies your mobile number.
What AnswerConnect is selling underneath the form
Human operators, 24/7, answering as your business, billed on a minutes basis, with message delivery, call transfer and appointment scheduling available. It is the mature version of the traditional model and there is nothing wrong with it.
The structural limits are the ones the whole model shares: operators cover many businesses at once, they work from your script rather than from your systems, and what they produce for most call types is a message you still have to act on.
What changes on a flat meter with a calendar behind it
Vandial publishes $99, $349 and $899, differing in how many unique customers you answer for and how much talk time is included. Call flows are unlimited, there is no per-call or per-minute charge, and spam and wrong numbers are zero-rated.
It reads the remaining capacity in your Google, Outlook, Apple or CalDAV calendar and creates the appointment during the call rather than sending you a request. The escalation ladder requires a keypress to accept, so an emergency at 2am cannot be swallowed by somebody's voicemail greeting.
Where they are the better answer
A comparison page that finds nothing to admire anywhere else is an advertisement. This is the honest version.
Twenty-four-seven human cover, and a track record we do not have
AnswerConnect has been answering phones for a very long time, at a scale we are nowhere near, with real people on every call and no reliance on speech recognition working properly on a bad line. If your callers are older, if your calls are long and unstructured, if a misheard word would be expensive, or if your business simply requires that a human being is on the other end at three in the morning, that is a genuine advantage and it is not one a synthetic voice removes by being cheaper. We are pre-launch; they are not. A buyer who values the track record over the meter is making a defensible choice.
Hear it before you decide anything
The free tier builds the agent, takes your services and your prices, and lets you talk to it in the browser. Nobody should hand their phone to something they have not argued with first.
How much does AnswerConnect cost?
They do not publish it. Their "view pricing" page is a form requesting your name, company email and phone number, after which a salesperson contacts you. Checked 14 August 2026.
What is a good AnswerConnect alternative?
For published human pricing, Smith.ai at $300 a month for 30 calls. For a flat AI plan you can read the price of, Vandial at $99 or Goodcall at $79.
Is AnswerConnect a good answering service?
By reputation and scale, yes. It is one of the established names in the traditional market with genuine 24/7 human cover. The complaints in this category are usually about per-minute billing and about messages that still need chasing, not about the answering itself.
Do they bill per minute or per call?
Per minute, in the traditional model of this market. The specific rate is not published.
Can AnswerConnect book into my calendar?
Appointment scheduling is offered. As with any shared human service, what it can actually do depends on the access you grant and on what an operator covering many businesses can hold in front of them.
